Seek Week: Frequently Asked Questions

Q) What are the ages of the students who can attend Seek Week?
A) Seek Week is designed for students who have COMPLETED grades 6 - 12.

Q) When/Where is Seek Week held?
A) In 2011, Front Line Ministries will host two (2) weeks of Seek Week. Week #1 will be held June 19-24 at Chaparral Encampment in Iowa Park, TX (just outside Wichita Falls, TX). Week #2, will be held July 3-8 at Heart of Texas Encampment in Brownwood, TX.

Q) What is the cost for attending Seek Week?
A) Week 1 ... $240 ; Week 2 ... $225.

Q) What does the cost include?
A) The fee for attending Seek Week includes lodging, meals, all programming, organized and free time recreational options, and a camp t-shirt for every participant.

Q) What about deposits and deadlines?
A) A $25/requested space deposit is required to secure a group's reservation. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. Since Seek Week is a church-based camp, no individual participants are accepted. Every participant MUST BE registered as a part of a church/community group. There is no deposit deadline, however, it should be noted that spaces at Seek Week are granted on a first-deposit received, first-reserve basis.

Q) Is Seek Week aimed at any particular denomination?
A) Though the beginnings of Front Line Ministries are rooted in the Southern Baptist denomination, one of the greatest testimonies of this ministry is that the Lord has given us favor with churches across all denominational barriers. Since the beginning of Seek Week in 1994, there have been over 150 churches, from 7 different states, representing over 10 denominations in attendance.

Q) Why does Seek Week begin on Sunday, rather than Monday, like most other camps.
A) It was determined early on in the developmental years of Seek Week that it was beneficial to arrive on Sunday evenings in order to get all of the administrative details settled and out of the way. This allows participants to enjoy 4 full days of camp, as compared to most other camps that only offer 3 full days.

Q) Since the cost is so much lower than most other camps across the state, are we to assume that our students will not experience as much as those "high dollar" camps?
A) ABSOLUTELY NOT! This is, perhaps, the greatest benefit of Seek Week. From the beginning it has been the goal of Front Line Ministries to offer the very best camp experience possible to small and mid-sized churches while, at the same time, removing the #1 obstacle that prohibits most churches/organizations from attending a camp ... COST! The Front Line Ministries team works year-round to secure financial under-writing in order to offer the very best camp at the very lowest price!

Q) Are there forms to be completed as a part of the registration process?
A) All forms, schedules, etc. can be downloaded directly from this site. In order for a church/organization to be "officially" registered, a completed registration form, with appropriate deposit, must be received in the Front Line Ministries office. NO CHURCH/ORGANIZATION WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER VIA PHONE, E-MAIL, OR INTERNET. We do not accept credit card deposits or registration fees.
